Our Leadership

John Peloquin, MBA, PhD
Founder & CEO

John Peloquin is a pioneering force in behavioral healthcare and a recognized innovator in the advancement of measurement-based care. Throughout his distinguished career, he has challenged the industry's historically high relapse rates and championed a more meaningful standard of success—one that prioritizes sustained recovery, long-term well-being, and lives fully restored.

Driven by a vision to transform outcomes in behavioral health, John founded Straight Path, bringing together the most effective elements of measurement-based care with a collaborative network of leading clinicians, researchers, academic institutions, and technology partners. His mission is to redefine how treatment effectiveness is measured and to equip providers with actionable insights that improve patient outcomes.

As President and CEO of Discovery Behavioral Health for seven years, John established a new benchmark for relapse prevention and recovery success. He successfully led the merger of Cliffside Malibu addiction treatment centers and Center for Discovery eating disorder treatment programs, creating one of the nation's most respected behavioral healthcare organizations. Under his leadership, Discovery became a national leader in leveraging patient-reported outcomes and data-driven treatment approaches to deliver personalized care that consistently exceeded industry benchmarks.

Recognizing that recovery extends far beyond discharge, John developed Discovery365®, a first-of-its-kind outcomes tracking and patient engagement platform designed to provide ongoing support, monitoring, and intervention throughout the recovery journey. The platform represented a significant advancement in post-treatment care and helped reduce the risk of relapse through continuous measurement and engagement.

John's leadership experience spans more than three decades across some of the nation's most prominent healthcare organizations. As head of Acadia Healthcare's national patient division, he led substantial growth initiatives that nearly doubled the division's size. He also served as Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Operations at Vital Imaging and as Division President of CRC Health Group, one of the largest behavioral healthcare providers in the United States.

Today, John continues to lead innovation at the intersection of behavioral health, data science, and outcomes measurement, advancing a future where treatment success is defined not simply by completion of care, but by lasting recovery and a well lived life.
